The Legend of the Golem of Prague
According to Jewish legend, the Golem of Prague was created in the 16th century by Rabbi Judah Loew ben Bezalel, known as the Maharal of Prague. The story tells of a creature made from clay and brought to life to protect the Jewish community of Prague.
The Golem became one of the city's most enduring legends, combining elements of Jewish mysticism, faith and folklore. Although historians have found no evidence that such a creature ever existed, the legend has remained deeply connected with Prague's cultural heritage.
Golem is a tribute to one of the most mysterious and fascinating legends associated with the city.
